WCLN has received requests to support districts with print final exams for some senior courses, as a method to deal with current assessment challenges.
Whether teachers/programs have students "come in" to a central site, or whether they have them write it at a school, common requirements include:
- no computer access
- phones are turned-in and sit on teacher's desk
- only simple scientific calculators allowed (none with memory)
In this way, AI (and other challenges) are completely removed from the situation.
To build these print exams, developers should use established templates and also provide keys. Templates (other tests) can be found in the Discussion Forums > Teacher Keys > Exams, for the following courses:
- Pre-Calc 11, 12
- Physics 11
- Life Science 11
- Anatomy and Physiology 12
Many tools can be used to build quality print exams, including old tests and AI. Below is some suggestions around the use of AI for this work:
