Docker:
Docker needs to be installed on the server. Also, you need a free Docker account.
Because of the relative complexity of the dependent systems for SMS2.0 (rethinkdb, redis, elastic search, etc) we have chosen to work with Docker to make installation far far simpler and much more reliable.
Simplicity because with a single configuration file and a single command, a server administrator can bring up a series of containerized machines and have a working and ready copy of SMS2.
MyEdBC Extract:
MyEdBC has the ability to create student extracts. You'll want to direct one of these extracts on a nightly (best) or weekly (ok) basis to a location available to SMS2.
