Course Summary Overwrite (Moodle Admin Tool)

Overwrites the course summaries for every course in a particular category. Note this only affects courses which are direct children of the selected category. If they are nested within another folder/category, you should choose the more specific category.

Adding the Plugin to your Site

  1. Visit the Moodle Plugins Directory.
  2. Click 'Install now'.

or

  1. Visit the Moodle Plugins Directory.
  2. Click 'Download' to download a zip folder containing the plugin.
  3. Extract the files from the zip.
  4. Place the folder 'coursesummary' in 'admin/tool'.
  5. Login to your Moodle site as an administrator and install the plugin.

Setting Course Summaries

  • Login to site as an admin.
  • Look under Site administration > Plugins > Admin Tools
  • Click on "Course Summary Overwrite"
  • Choose category and enter HTML for the course summaries then click 'Submit'.
